Day Nr1: Travel to CAN

What a day. the vacation is starting already at 4am with having  a coffee and prepare to get to the airport.

Early morning TAKE OFF at 6:25am at Salzburg Airport :-), arriving at Frankfurt about 15min. ahead of time, but we got stuck on the airfield with the bus to the terminal and all the time was gone (no problem with us, because we had enough lay over time)

After the precheck at Gate B42 we just waited to board, where Marjan was more exited than Chris, he was just smiling 🙂
During the long flight about 8:15 hrs (gate 2 gate), Chris was so exited that he didn´t dare to sleep, just watching films. When we arrived in Toronto we rushed to the immigration counters, but it didn’t help we had to wait for a longer time (about 30min). On the immigration card we filled all 3 Names out which lead the immigration officer to ask about our relationship, which brought a smile to his face after explanation. When we got to the belt ONLY Chris´s trolley was on the belt, Marjan got nervous, but all our luggage arrived.
The next funny thing with us three happened at the car rental, we got a full size car, Nissan Altima, but than another guy asked us where we come from and we got a big DODGE, amazing car – looks like a gangsta car and Chris was looking for the right music to play with and found a gansta channel! According to the Pilot the weather in Toronto is cloudy and about 19°C, but actually it was  about 25 raising to 30°C in the afternoon and sunny.

After refreshing in the Hotel we went to the Lakeside Harbour where we had a great lunch and a short walk. On the way back to the Hotel we just visited colleagues at the airport (to bring a small present, not to work). Chris & Marjan were already fighting against the sleep, but they had to manage it another 2 hrs, to get a proper time adjustment to the body – it was a LONG
