Day 10: A Day in Sooke and Relaxation

After a good night’s sleep, we started the day at our favorite coffee shop for breakfast. Once we returned to the apartment and had a bit of relaxation time, we set off for East Sooke Regional Park to explore the coastal trail.

Coastal Hike from Aylard Farm

We began our hike at Aylard Farm, heading in the direction of Beechy Head. The trail led us along the stunning coastline, offering breathtaking views as we made our way via Aldridge Point, passing by the fascinating petroglyphs.

We continued towards Orca Rock, a perfect spot for taking in the ocean vistas. After enjoying the scenery, we looped back along the trail, returning to our starting point at Aylard Farm.
The hike took us about three hours, and despite the effort, the scenery made it all worthwhile.

Afternoon and Evening
On the way back, we stopped at Starbucks for a quick refreshment and then picked up a few essentials at Walmart before heading back to the apartment. After a refreshing shower, we went out to Bray’s Wine Bar for a light meal of tapas paired with some excellent wine, a perfect way to unwind after an active day.
