Day Nr5: To Vancouver Island

On the 5th day of our holidays we left Toronto a flew with Air Canada (AC1175) at 9am to Vancouver. After arrival we picked up the rental car, which was a Nissan Altima.

We left the airport and headed out North to Horseshoe Bay, via Glanville (whcih seems to be a main street in Vancouver, and had so much luck that we got a Ferry over to the Island about 45 min. earlier.On the way from Nanaimo (landing of the Ferry) drove again north on Highway #19 and further west on Freeway #4 to Port Alberni. There we checked in in a very nice Motel called “Esta Villa” (first impression, typical motel where the people got killed in the movies, but it was such a nice and friendly environment there).
After refreshing we drove to Marjan´s uncle and aunt which was just round the corner. It was so nice to meet these 2 older people (Uncle Ton & Aunti Shirley), and we had a lot of fun and a good supper (spare rips, Chris enjoyed it well and was later snorring on the couch there.

We also meet Cousins of Marjan (Jerry and Janine Linning) his Grandmother was the sister of uncle Ton´s mother.
