Day 1: Travel to Nigüelas
We left home very early, with the information that there might be a lot of waiting time at the airport right at the security. After we arrived at the airport parking we went straight to the luggage drop off counter (no waiting time) and we left to the security (also there absolutely NO waiting time, there was even time to have some small talk with the security), this resulted in a too long waiting time for the plane.
So we needed to kill the time and we went for a real Bavarian breakfast – Weißwurst with Weißbier :-), at the Käfer restaurant at Terminal 2 of Munich Airport (MUC).
The plane was leaving about 10min late from MUC, but arrived on time in Malaga.
The only issue there was that we had to wait for more than 1 hour to get our luggage.
As soon as we received our luggage we headed directly to the car rental counter where I just had to show my ID card to get the key for the car, a Mercedes B Class AMG. From arriving to the counter of the rental company to get to the car it took us only 10 minutes.
We left the Airport right after 3pm and we headed east direction of Motril and the than north to Granada.
Arriving a the exit of Nigüelas in the Lecrin Valley, we made a short stop at the supermarket to get some food and drinks, because on Sundays all shops are closed!
After the Supermarket we just drove up and through the narrow streets of Nigüelas to arrive at the rental apartment, where we where very welcomed by the owner.
As a welcome drink we opened a good bottle of red wine 🙂
