Day 4: Hot (+50C°) Hike at Monachil & Sierra Nevada Ski Resort

Early in the morning we drove to the direction of Granada and headed to Monachil, where did an fantastic hike through a great valley area (nice and cool) and back via a field which looked like in the wild west where it was stony and some dry grass. Actually we should have chosen the way in the other direction, because it was really hot on the field we reached a temperature of +50C°.

Details to the trail:
I would say this trail is one between easy to moderate, the way from the parking to the turn is through the valley, in principle you follow the water upwards. A view times you cross the water via a suspension bridge, with handrails and on another place you will pass either by using he grips in the stone or simply on all fours (if you are not so secure). Sometimes it can happen the other groups will come from the other direction, there you dimply have to find a place an need to wait unitil they pass. At the turn you walk over a bridge an follow the path back to the village of Monachil.

After returning from the Hike we drove up to the Sierra Nevada Ski Resort, where it was immediately cooler min by 15 degrees 😊.
